Welcome. Zen Flowers is made by a husband-and-wife team in Reston, Virginia — Narcisa, an ikebana artist, and Ion, a software developer. We're happy to share images, talk about how the app came together, or arrange an in-person visit to one of Narcisa's workshops.

The short version

Zen Flowers is a quiet gallery of over 400 handcrafted ikebana arrangements, available on iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV. Each arrangement is composed and photographed by hand by Narcisa, who teaches Japanese floral arrangement workshops across DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia. The app is a one-time $4.99 purchase with no subscription, no advertising, and no data collection. New arrangements are added monthly.

The app launched in April 2025 as Ikebana Reflections and was relaunched as Zen Flowers in April 2026.

She trained in the Sogetsu School of Ikebana and teaches monthly workshops in Reston, Virginia, with additional engagements at retirement communities, corporate wellness programs, and private events across DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia.
